I'd like to use the cooling jacket on the bowl of a stand mixer to make ice cream.
Would 200 BTU be enough to do the deed on a quart of base? Figure about 160F start temp and target of 30 F in about 20 minutes time. If anyone has used this beastie for a similar application I'd love to have some play by play
 Huh
TIA
Jorge

Couple this with an old Radio-shack bulb type solder removal iron and a filter, and make an electric solder sucker.

Looks like a great drive wheel, but do you have any beefier motors you can match up with one of your wheels?

I was thinking about just this motor, since I saw it in the catalog that was just mailed to me- What I'd like to do is use one for a robot gripper mechanism- to emulate a tendon that would make a finger close around an object- you would need a couple, of course.  The key to it would be a mechanism to measure the tension that the finger was actually applying- and do that by running the cable over a spring mounted pulley, in a sort of triangular arrangement- as the cable had more tension- think three pulleys in a row, under, over, under- the two "under" pulleys are fixed, and the center "over" pulley is the one that is spring mounted- as more tension is in the cable, the more the cable wants to straighten out- pulling the "over" pulley down.- with a spring on the over pulley and a potentiometer to measure displacement, you could have a pretty precise method to measure tension and therefore squeezing force of the finger.

I googled the Derale Model number 16934 and found that a couple mail order places sell the same fan for around 215.00 dollars.  Pretty good deal at 129.95 for a high performance dual fan assembly. I believe Roush might have used these types of fans on some of their high performance Mustangs, not for sure on the years.

I was looking at item 16-1364 on this site.  It sure looks like some special high performance fans for Mustangs that I've seen in aftermarket catalogs.  Does anyone know the story behind these?

Cool item. I always wondered how the automatic shoulder belt worked in cars with the auto belts. That would be a neat item for animation or robotics projects.
